There have been few innovations in the luxury staging world of late. The same firms, furniture and style monopolise the market. Having used the top firms for a considerable time, I found myself still being very hands on, changing, and adding my own pieces to create something un-template like and unique.
A $30m listing in the bird streets or Beverly Park demand better. As a result, all our staging is done in-house. We use a higher caliber of furniture, customs pieces and original art. Every job has custom pieces ordered to best represent key areas of the home. Our staging and design is synonymous with the property. Our track record speaks for itself; multiple offers, over asking and quick closing.
The demand for our pieces and art has led to expanding our staging to interior design services. Two completely different engines. One designed to suggest a living style to the broadest audience possible while remaining authentic to the architecture, the other a personal journey through interior living spaces. Our clients have a comprehensive white glove real estate firm at their disposal. We also have several artisan workshops in Mexico where our custom wood and metal pieces are crafted. See the Original Art & Photography page for examples of our original art.
Two areas which I feel aren’t readily addressed in even the most appealing aesthetics are ergonomics and technology. With more time spent on devices, and home theater becoming an expected feature in $5m+ homes, design has to incorporate both of these.
Viewing angle, head height, sound fields and favorable joint positions are all elements of design that go unrepresented. As a self proclaimed audio and videophile, and the owner of a Sony 4K projection system, these are essential design elements for me.
As we can’t always feature the interiors of client’s homes, our gallery shows snapshots and suggestions of colour palettes, themes, and styles co-existing in a variety of living areas. Interior design and staging services are available to all our clients. The consultation is free of charge.
